Looking for a bargain and somewhere to store your records? Check out these discounted retro vinyl cabinets at La Redoute.
I have mentioned a couple in the past, and you might know I have done a more extensive top 60 retro record and vinyl storage units round-up too. But right now there’s a big clearance on at La Redoute, with discounts taking a big chunk off the asking prices.
How much? Between 35 and 50 per cent off the list prices, depending on the one you go for. And that bigger discount is more common than the smaller one. I’ll get the calculator out to determine how much that is for the ones I mention after the discount code is added (make sure you add that at checkout). Bottom line? Get in now while prices are low and save a few quid on somewhere to store your LPs and possibly your turntable, too.
There are a number available, but here are some of my favourites.
1. Redpop 1950s-style Walnut and Cane Vinyl Cabinet
Love this design, which is probably the most striking of all the selections.
Part of a similar mini range, it takes inspiration from the 1950s and has sliding cupboards with the cane effect, room for your vinyl, room for a turntable and extra space for storage. Like most of these, it doubles up as an impromptu sideboard. I love the brass finish metal legs, too.
Originally £525, this one is 35 per cent off, the new price is £341.25.
2. 1960s-style Ronda Vintage Walnut Veneer Vinyl Cabinet
It’s one of the most popular designs of this kind, and it has probably never been cheaper than right now.
Again, part of a mini range of similar-looking pieces, this one has a strong 1960s vibe, coloured back panels, tapered legs, and plenty of storage space for vinyl, a deck, and much more.
At £375, it was well worth a look, but with 40 per cent off, it takes it to nearer £225. Bargain.
3. Scandi-style Aram Vinyl Record Cabinet
Something with a lighter wood finish and a Scandinavian vibe – and perhaps more like a sideboard than any of the others.
In fact, it would pass for a sideboard without the slots at the side for your 12-inch vinyl. There is lots more storage in the cupboards, too. It has some angled legs for support and plenty of space on top for a turntable and much more.
The versatile option sells officially for £625, But subtracting 50 per cent, it comes down to £312.50.
4. Bilbao Solid Oak Vinyl Cabinet
Another lighter finish for this slightly more compact unit.
It is compact but packs plenty in. First, dedicated slots for your vinyl. Alongside that, some cupboard space, plus added storage just above that, including some behind the oak bars. There is also a good amount of surface space too.
A bit pricier at £725, but with a 40 per cent discount, you are down to £435.
5. Larsen Walnut Vinyl Storage Cabinet
Last, and certainly not least, is the Larsen Cabinet. Which might well have come straight out of the 1970s.
This one is probably the most substantial and, as a result, the most expensive. But that also means a hefty discount on the list price.
I love the 1970s-style crimes on this one, both the legs and the handles. The shade of wood is spot-on for the era, too. Again, dedicated vinyl slots, more cupboard space to the side, a draw above, and more storage. The size means a good surface to play with, too.
This one is full price at £999, but with 40 per cent off, it brings it down to around £599.40.
You can see more details about all of them (and more designs, too) at the La Redoute website.
