A popular vinyl spinner in its original form, but the Gadhouse Brad retro record player has just got better with a MK II upgrade.
It is popular because it mixes a cool retro look (inspired by the 1950s) with vinyl-playing functionality. This wasn’t just a pretty face. It packed in a lot under the surface, too. And now there’s a little more.
The most obvious is a bolder selection of colours. Not that it makes any difference to your vinyl playing, but it does make a difference to your decor or if you have a favoured shade.
As for record playing, this one still easily handles seven and 12-inch discs, throwing in 3-speed play and pitch control, too. But it now offers built-in powerful dual 10W dynamic speakers and newly upgraded Bluetooth V5.3 so you can go digital and stream wirelessly. And, for the first time, you can spin records anywhere you go with a Type-C power supply for charging.
The downside? As far as I can see, you can only get the upgraded player directly from the maker right now. Earlier versions are still available from Amazon newly upgraded Bluetooth V5.3 but I can’t see the MK II there as yet.
So head to the maker’s site for the latest one, which is now available in green, grey, navy, tangerine, and ivory for $149.
